Ford GT40 Mk 1 winner of the 1969 Le Mans 24-hour race. Driven by Belgian Jacky Ickxx and Brit Jackie Oliver, in one of the most exciting races in the event's history. Porsche were strong favourites to gain their first outright win, but Ickx and Oliver eventually took over the lead. The race ended in a 3-hour Ford versus Porsche sprint, with the #6 GT40 taking the chequered flag 120 metres ahead of the trailing Porsche. This was the first of Ickxx's six Le Mans victories.
