Cathay Pacific, Dragonair
  • 1/200 1942 DC-3
    This Douglas DC-3/C-47 has had a long and interesting life. Constructed in 1942 as a C47-DL she was sent overseas in 1943. After the war she was purchased by a former WWII pilot and nicknamed “Betsy”. In 1946 she became Cathay Pacific Airways first ever aircraft, and registered as VR-HDB. After being sold in the 1950's she spent the best part of 30 years flying cargo in the Australian outback, before being discovered and repurchased by Cathay Pacific. VR-HDB was then repainted in a 1940s CPA scheme and now hangs in the Science Museum of Hong Kong. Metal diecast with some plastic parts. Rotating props. Landing gear can be displayed up or down. Comes with a plastic display stand. Approx. 10cm x 14cm (3.75" x 5.5")

  • 1/200 1980 Boeing 747-200
    Boeing 747-267B MSN 21966. Entering Cathay Pacific service as VR-HIA in April 1980 this aircraft served a further 4 airlines before joining Rolls-Royce North America as N787RR in June 2005. After 20 years as a specialised Test Platform, Rolls Royce officially retired "Spirit of Excellence" on July 9, 2025. N787R helped pioneer sustainable aviation fuel trials and validate engines like the Pearl 10X, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in aerospace innovation. Diecast metal model. Note: The tail plane appeasr to be black in most of the photos, but, as shown in the last photo, it is actually blue. Approx. 35.5cm x 30cm (14" x 11.75"). Comes with a metal display stand.

  • 1/200 1979 B737-2L9 Dragonair
    Boeing 737-200 VR-HKP, c/n 22071/620. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney JT8D-17 turbofans. Operated with Dragonair from June 1985 to October 1993. Founded in 1985, Dragonair became Cathay Dragon in 2016. The latter ceased operations as a separate unit of Cathay Pacific in 2020. Diecast metal model. Approx. 15.5cm x 13.5cm (6.12" x 5.25"). Comes with a display stand and a Dragonair key ring. A great little model to salute the once mighty flying Dragon.
