    Lockheed L-188C Electra ZK-TEB, "Atarau". One of three new Electras ordered by TEAL (Tasman Empire Airways Ltd, the forerunner of Air NZ). Delivered to NZ on 22/12/1959, and completed its first operational flight to Fiji and back on 1/1/1960. Sold overseas in 1972. Diecast model with metal body & wings. Rotating metal props, magnetically attached landing gear (posable up or down), and metal display stand. Approx. 16cm x 14.5cm (6.25" x 5/75"). Limited Edition of only 144.   • 1/200 RNZAF P-3K Orion
    Royal New Zealand Air Force Lockheed P-3K2 Orion maritime patrol aircraft. S/N NZ4203 of No. 5 Squadron RNZAF, based at Whenuapai, Auckland. This aircraft entered RNZAF service in January 1967 and completed more than 27,000 flying hours by the time it was retired in September 2021. Diecast metal model, perfect for your RNZAF collection.   • 1/200 1942 DC-3
    This Douglas DC-3/C-47 has had a long and interesting life. Constructed in 1942 as a C47-DL she was sent overseas in 1943. After the war she was purchased by a former WWII pilot and nicknamed “Betsy”. In 1946 she became Cathay Pacific Airways first ever aircraft, and registered as VR-HDB. After being sold in the 1950's she spent the best part of 30 years flying cargo in the Australian outback, before being discovered and repurchased by Cathay Pacific. VR-HDB was then repainted in a 1940s CPA scheme and now hangs in the Science Museum of Hong Kong. Metal diecast with some plastic parts. Rotating props. Landing gear can be displayed up or down.   • 1/72 1930s de Havilland Dragon Rapide BEA
    British European Airways (BEA) De Havilland Dragon Rapide 1930s passenger airliner. A twin engined aircraft with tapered wings and streamlined fairings, which proved to be a very successful, fast and comfortable, commercial aircraft. Used by the RAF for passenger and communications duties at the start of WW2. A slightly modified version (Dominie) was used by the RAF and RN later in the war for radio and navigation training. A great wee, well detailed, model. Rotating props, and comes with a display stand. Approx. 14.5cm x 20cm (5.75" x 8").

  • 1/48 1942 A6M2 Zero V-173 Saburo Sakai
    Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero Type 21 V-173, piloted by Saburo Sakai based at Rabaul from June to July 1942. Ordered to shoot down any Allied aircraft, military or civil, Sakai refused to shoot down a C-47 when he saw a woman and a child onboard. Sakai is credited with 64 victories. The A6M became known as the Zero because of its designation as Carrier Fighter Type 0. Die-cast metal model with minimum plastic. Approx. 18cm x 24cm (7" x 9.5"). Canopy slides open, pilot figure can be removed. Comes with display stand, and landing gear can be shown up or down. Rotating metal prop.

  • 1/48 1945 Spitfire Mk. XIV J E Johnson
    Griffon powered Spitfire XIV MV257 of Group Capt. J. E. Johnson, No 125 Wing, Denmark, June 1945. In April 1945 Johnnie Johnson was promoted to Group Captain and put in command of No 125 Wing. On May 8, 1945, shortly after Germany surrendered Johnson and No 125 Squadron moved to Copenhagen Denmark. MV257 was his post-war Spitfire and the last Spitfire to carry his initials JE-J. Johnson’s wartime record was 515 sorties, 34 aircraft destroyed, seven shared, three probables, 10 damaged and one shared, destroyed on the ground. All his “kills” were fighters.   • 1/48 1940 Spitfire Mk.I “Battle of Britain” X4036/D-AZ
    Spitfire Mk.I “Battle of Britain” X4036/D-AZ, flown by P/O Robert Doe, No.234 Squadron, Middle Wallop, August 1940. With a max. speed of 353 mph, and armed with 8 x 0.303 inch Browning machine guns, Mk. I's bore the brunt of the Battle of Britain. On August 15 1940 Doe claimed his first victory, a Messerschmitt Bf-110. The next day he scored a Bf-109 and Dornier Do-18. August 18 he claimed one Bf-109 and damaged another. Also in August, Doe shared a Ju-88 on the 21st and destroyed a Bf-109 on the 26th. By the end of WWII Doe had scored 14 kills, 2 shared, 1 probable and 5 damaged.   • 1/48 1942 Spitfire MK. Vb BM592
    Spitfire MK. Vb BM592, Wing Cdr Alois Vasatko, DFC, Exeter (Czechoslovak) Wing, June 1942. The Mk V was the most produced Spitfire variant and the main version throughout 1941. With a max. speed of 371 mph, and armed with 2 x 20-mm cannon and 4 x 0.303 inch Browning machine guns, it could also carry other external ordnance. Alois “Amos” Vasatko fought with the French Air Force and then the RAF. When the RAF 312th Czechoslovak Squadron was established, on May 3 1942, Vasatko was its first Wing Commander.   • 1/48 1942 Spitfire Vb, RF-D/EP594, 303 Sqn. (POland) RAF
    Spitfire Vb, RF-D/EP594, 303 Sqn., RAF, Lt. Jan Zumbach, Aug/Sept 1942. The first Spitfire Mk V was produced in January 1941, remained the RAF fighter through the summer of 1942 and saw several variants with bigger engines, new wing types and more armament. There were 20,351 Mk V variants in total. Jan Zumbach was assigned to RAF 303 Squadron (Poland) and scored 8 victories during the BoB. While with the 303 Sqn Zumbach flew three Spitfire Vb's, all had Donald Duck artworkd on the engine cowling. He was Squadron Leader from May 1942 until November 1943.     PZ865 is a single-engined Second World War Hawker Hurricane Mk. IIc fighter operated by the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF). It was the last of Hurricanes produced and is now flown as an airborne memorial. There were 14,533 Hurricanes produced in all variants, and they accounted for 80% of the 1,792 German aircraft shot down during the Battle of Britain. Approx. 20.5cm x 28.5cm (8" x 11.25").   • 1/48 1916 Fokker E.III Eindecker - Ernst Udet
    Fokker E.III Eindecker 105/15, mono wing fighter. Believed to be the plane flown by Vizefeldwebel Ernst Udet when he scored his first aerial victory. Udet ended the war with 62 confirmed victories, the most successful air ace to survive the Great War. The Eindecker was the first aeroplane specifically designed to hunt other aeroplanes. Able to fire its machine gun through the arc of the prop, the pilot just had to aim his plane at the target and shoot. Diecast metal model with plastic parts.   • 1/48 1918 Bristol F2B Fighter - Charlie Chaplin
    Bristol F2B Fighter D8084/S. Australian pilot Capt. Sydney Dalrymple and Gunner 2/Lt. G. Beagle, RAF No.139 Squadron, Villaverla, Italy. On 8th August 1918, Dalrymple and Beagle shot down two Aviatik D.1 Berg Fighters. In a later mission, they shot down two Albatros D.IIIs, earning Dalrymple a DFC.   • 1/48 1918 Sopwith Camel F.1
    Sopwith Camel F.1 D3326 of RAF No. 209 Squadron. Flown by Lieutenant Wilfred May when being chased by the famous Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen, on 21st April 1918. This event ultimately ended in the death of the Red Baron, who died from a single .303 bullet fired from the ground. Part of the Death of the Red Baron Special Edition. Finely detailed model, with wood-grain effect rotating prop, pilot figure, and fine wire rigging. Comes with a fixed undercarriage, display stand, and collector card.     Fokker DR.1 Triplane, flown by Wolfram von Richthofen on 21st April 1918. Wolfram unwittingly played a part in the death on this day of his famous cousin Manfred von Richthofen, the Red Baron.   • 1/36 Little Nellie Gyrocopter
    50th Anniversary special edition James Bond autogyro as featured in the 1967 movie "You Only Live Twice". "Little Nellie" was heavily armed, with two forward-firing machine guns in the nose, two sets of rear-facing twin flamethrowers, small-cluster rocket launchers each side of the cockpit, twin heat-seeking air-to-air missiles fixed under the body, and a payload of aerial mines for ground targets. That's a whole lot of Nellie!! She also had a top speed of 100 mph and a range of 130 miles. This lethal little package could be disassembled to fit into four suitcases, and shipped far and wide.   • 1/72 1964 Bell UH-1B Huey, Vietnam
    117th Aviation Company, 52nd Combat Aviation Battalion, was one of the first Aviation Units to be deployed to Vietnam. Huey's of the 117th flew some of the first helicopter sorties of the Vietnam War. A name change to 117th Assault Helicopter Company, accompanied Ash and Trash, resupply, and Mede-vac Gunship escort duties. Diecast metal model, with plastic rotors. Approx. 16.5cm (6.5") long.     The Junkers Ju-87 two seater ground attack aircraft of the Sturzkampfgeschwader 77 (StG 77) Luftwaffe dive bomber wing. Often called a Stuka, the short form of Sturzkampfflugzeug (dive bomber). The Ju-87 saw combat in the Spanish Civil War, with the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion, then served throughout World War II. Distinctive for its inverted gull wings and fixed undercarriage, the Stuka achieved considerable success in close air support and anti-shipping roles. Fixed, non-rotating propeller. No pilot figures.     Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero, the primary Japanese Naval fighter in World War II.     Aichi D3A Type 99 Japanese carrier based twin seat dive bomber, IJN Akagi, Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Allied reporting name "Val", the D3A was Japan's primary dive bomber and involved in almost all IJN actions. The first Japanese aircraft to bomb American targets in WWII, starting with Pearl Harbor and U.S. bases in the Philippines. Vals sank more Allied warships than any other Axis aircraft.
