    1/48 1918 SE5a Biplane RAF No 74Sqn K Caldwell
    Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5a (Scout Experimental 5) WWI British fighter aircraft of Major Keith Logan Caldwell, RAF No 74Sqn, Clairmarais, France, September 1918. The SE5a was a very nimble aircraft described by some as the Spitfire of World War One. New Zealander "Grid" Caldwell was a celebrated pilot whose reputation grew following a mid-air collision. As his damaged aircraft was spinning earthwards, he was seen to step out on the wing to attempt a repair. All the while keeping one foot on the rudder to help control the aircraft's descent. Knowing a crash landing was inevitable, he managed to bring the SE5 in low over Allied lines, jumping clear of the aircraft seconds before it hit the ground. Allied troops could hardly believe what they just saw, as "Grid" calmly strolled back towards their positions. Diecast model with rotating prop, crew figure, fine rigging, and display stand.     Albatros Flugzeugwerke Albatros D.V Fighter of Leutnant R Wolf, Jasta 5, Boistrancourt Aerodrome, France. Wolf may not have been one of Jasta 5's most successful pilots but he certainly knew how to decorate an Albatros. The flamboyant scheme on his personal aircraft was influenced by his heritage and featured the blue and white diamonds of the Bavarian coat of arms and crest. Wolf took charge of this D.V in July 1917. Diecast model with rotating prop, crew figure, and display stand. Approx. 15cm x 19cm (6" x 7.5").

    1/48 1916 Fokker E.III Eindecker
    Fokker E.III Eindecker 105/15, mono wing fighter. Believed to be the plane flown by Vizefeldwebel Ernst Udet when he scored his first aerial victory. Udet ended the war with 62 confirmed victories, the most successful air ace to survive the Great War. The Eindecker was the first aeroplane specifically designed to hunt other aeroplanes. Able to fire its machine gun through the arc of the prop, the pilot just had to aim his plane at the target and shoot. Diecast metal model with plastic parts. Detailed rigging, rotating prop, and fixed landing gear. Comes with a pilot figure and display stand. This cool model is approx. 15cm x 21cm x 5cm (6" x 8.25" x 2").

    Albatros D.V, Jasta 23, D2263/17 of Otto Kissemberth. Described as brave and tenacious in the air, Kissemberth was one of the few who flew wearing spectacles. Commander of Royal Bavarian Jasta 23 at the beginning of August 1917, Kissenberth scored the majority of his 20 aerial victories in this aircraft. Distinctive because of its black fuselage and yellow and white Edelweiss emblems on either side of its fuselage. Highly detailed diecast model, with rotating propeller, pilot figure, and display stand. Approx. 14cm x 19cm (5.5" x 7.5").

    Bristol F2B Fighter D8084/S. Australian pilot Capt. Sydney Dalrymple and Gunner 2/Lt. G. Beagle, RAF No.139 Squadron, Villaverla, Italy. On 8th August 1918, Dalrymple and Beagle shot down two Aviatik D.1 Berg Fighters. In a later mission, they shot down two Albatros D.IIIs, earning Dalrymple a DFC. Rotating prop, crew figures, fine rigging detail, and features Charlie Chaplin artwork on the port side. Approx. 17cm x 25cm (6.75" x 9.75")

Finely detailed model, with wood-grain effect rotating prop, pilot figure, and fine wire rigging. Part of the Death of the Red Baron Special Edition.
