It was the final round of the French Rally Championship, and put Chatriot on equal in points with Didier Auriol. On count-back Auriol claimed the championship because he had one more victory. Powered by 1.6L 4-cylinder Ford engines producing 135 to 145 horsepower, and weighing only 525 to 540 Kg, the power-to-weight ratio is monstrous and the acceleration outstanding.     This Douglas DC-3/C-47 has had a long and interesting life. Constructed in 1942 as a C47-DL she was sent overseas in 1943. After the war she was purchased by a former WWII pilot and nicknamed “Betsy”. In 1946 she became Cathay Pacific Airways first ever aircraft, and registered as VR-HDB. After being sold in the 1950's she spent the best part of 30 years flying cargo in the Australian outback, before being discovered and repurchased by Cathay Pacific. VR-HDB was then repainted in a 1940s CPA scheme and now hangs in the Science Museum of Hong Kong. Metal diecast with some plastic parts. Rotating props. Landing gear can be displayed up or down.     1937 Rolls Royce Phantom III from the 1964 James Bond movie "Goldfinger". The car used by bad guy, Auric Goldfinger. The cool thing is that many of its parts were made from melted-down/recast gold. From the outside it looked like your standard family runabout V12, 4-speed manual, Rolls, but....it allowed Goldfinger to travel internationally and smuggle gold at the same time.     The Magirus-Deutz Jupiter 6 × 6 was built for military and civilian use. A significant feature was its multi-fuel, 12.7L air-cooled, V8 engine. The civilian engine produced 143 kW. Approved fuels were diesel, kerosene, kerosene and petrol, or a mixture of these with piston lubricating oil. In an emergency, vegetable oils such as frying oil could also be used. This "Rusty" 281 featured as the villain in the 1971 movie Duel (which happened to be Steven Spielberg's directorial debut).     AEC Mercury Turntable Ladder RFS 132 of the Edinburgh and SE Area Fire Brigade. The Mercury TL was produced from 1957 until the late 1960s. Almost 200 were built and over half of these came with extending Merryweather 100 ft ladders. A classic 50's monster, finished in traditional red and silver.     Collector's medallion commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 2004 Bathurst 1000 pole position. The 2004 pole was clinched by Steve Richards, driving the No. 11 Perkins Engineering Holden VY Commodore. Although Richards won Bathurst five times over his career, 2004 was his only pole. This two sided gold plated metal and enamel medallion features an image of the pole winning car, details of the car and driver, and the shootout wining lap time of 2 minutes 7.9611 seconds. The medallion is 100mm in diameter and 4mm thick. Presented in a removable 148mm x 148mm clear acrylic display stand which protects the medallion, and allows viewing from both sides. The victory marked Murphy’s fourth Bathurst win and Kelly’s second, as well as their second win in a row as a driver pairing. It also marked Holden's sixth consecutive win at Bathurst. This two sided gold plated metal and enamel medallion features an image of their VY Commodore presented with year, car and driver details and three legendary words that every Holden fan loves to see, "Holden Wins Bathurst". It was fitting for that milestone to be accomplished at the Mount Panorama circuit. DJR's first ATTC race was at Symmons Plains in 1981, where Dick Johnson raced his legendary Tru-Blu XD Falcon. This two sided gold plated metal medallion celebrates the 1st and 1000th championship races and the respective DJR cars. On one side is Dick's 1981 Tru-Blu Falcon XD, on the other side are the De Pasquale/D'Alberto and the Davison/Davison 2022 Shell V-Power Racing Mustangs. The medallion is 100mm in diameter and 4mm thick. Presented in a removable 148mm x 148mm clear acrylic display stand which also protects the medallion. All-up weighing approx. 1.8Kg. Limited Edition of 750 pieces, and comes with a numbered Certificate.
